I’ve been waiting for a deck to arrive to include it in my monthly decks and…cheesus on a cracker, that took a long time to arrive! But it’s here…

The absolutely too stinking cute Mimit (and Bimit) Kickstarter Tarot decks!
So, like with most (but not all!) Kickstarters, there is good and bad with the finished product. I think this Kickstarter fell prey to the two most common trip-ups that KS decks will run into: not maxing out the cardstock quality, and choosing whiz-bang nick-knacks over a quality box. I should just do a posting regarding kickstarter decks, but I won’t belabor it here. Know that the cardstock and box (and art book) leave much to be desired, but hot d@mn if it ain’t cute as sh*t.

Clockwise from top left: Tarot of a Moon Garden, The Spacious Tarot, The Children of Litha (tarot), A Little Rain (oracle), middle Mimit (tarot), also, notice my new deck has a dented card??? Hopefully the artist will send me a replacement.
Some months I pick decks around a theme, some months I pick decks that I like the look of together, and this month, like everything else in my life, became a scattered mess and I impulsively grabbed what was itching to get off the shelf.
I knew I needed The Children of Litha tarot. I’ve had this deck well over a year (two years?!?), and I’ve used it less than ten times. I love the art work, I love the concept, I find it a really intuitive reader, but there is something (I don’t know what) that really is scary to me about this deck. To me, it’s really a raw, hard hitting deck. I had to choose it with Litha coming up though! I want us to be friends! It really feels like a “cool kids” deck.
June is also my birthday month, and the deck that I use exclusively for myself is The Spacious Tarot. I just love this deck, and it’s comforting without being smothering.
I’ve been feeling the stress and anxiety of the events going on at the world at large, and this makes me seek things that remind me of positive childhood experiences, so in that nostalgic mindset, I chose Tarot of a Moon Garden and, of course, the Mimit tarot. I will say regarding the Mimit, I am NOT a fan of small decks, so I’m going to see if I can warm up to this one.
I’ve been liking adding an oracle deck to my monthly Tarot decks, seeing as I typically don’t reach for oracles, and I wanted to test run A Little Rain Oracle by Ambisun, the same artist that made the Oriens Tarot. It’s so pretty I’ll forgive it for being one of the least intuitive deck I own.

There is quite the nature theme going on now that I see the cards laid out! I think this is the month of getting back in touch with childhood nostalgia across the board.

Okay, let’s go ahead and talk about the elephant in the room–I had to do a three card Mimit draw because, well, they’re just so little! Little with big feelings it would seem! We could go through this card by card, or I can tell you what I immediately though when I saw all three cards together: the road to hell is paved with good intentions. The Queen of Swords, to me, is the coldly logical card, the emotional represser in a way. Even if something is on paper “correct” or “truth” or “good advice,” if you cannot abide by it in your heart, then it cannot serve you. You are being dishonest with your true self and following a negative, destructive path. It would be better to explore your own reality and learn the hard way what means right and wrong for you. Its okay to get things wrong.

This beautiful Queen of Pentacles is surrounded by loving friends–the winged horse is draping its feathers around her, she herself is protecting a little white hare, and a butterfly dances around her crown. A new moon sliver hangs in the evening sky–there is much growing and much more to grow. You are rich in many ways, resources, but also friends and time. Accept kindness and give kindness.
Then I drew from the A Little Rain oracle the Orchid. This beautiful card, very reminiscent of the Queen of Pentacles, speaks about Unity, Communion, Harmony. To create something truly beautiful and wondrous takes many people working together. You have the friends, ask them for help in being your best self and realizing your goals. Share your own strengths.

Well, I guess together these two cards suggest success begets success!
The Four of Wands say that a project reaches actualization, so take the time to celebrate it! You’ve put in the work so enjoy (especially with others), even if it is ephemeral in nature. It’s good to make a big deal of things to help propel you through the rest of the hard work.
And The Chariot. Now that you’ve tasted success, it gets harder here on out. You have more to manage, and with each success more to loose, and more responsibility. It will seem as if life is trying to pull you in opposing directions; sometimes you have to learn to give in order to stay on the straightest course to your end goal. Use your opposing forces together rather than trying to divide and conquer. You can manage, you’ll go the distance!
Overall, this is a very positive reading for the month of June! Be true to thy self, include others in your journey, believe in yourself.

Also, I guess if any cards had to be bent, then I suppose the fool is appropriate for having a “bender!”
